On the dystopian planet of Decadence, 547 is a mindless, genetically engineered shell, fated to host the planet's future queen. During a battle where she and other shells fight to prove their value, her dormant consciousness awakens.
 

While 547 grapples with the burden of self-awareness, concealing it from those who would destroy her mind and steal her body, an opportunity presents itself: help a secret, renegade society in their hopeless war against the immortal rulers of Decadence. However, their attacks are cold-hearted, with innocent and guilty alike heaped on the pyres of rebellion. And as an immortal, she will ultimately find herself at the points of their blades.
